The Gotham Bar features a sleek wood case wrapped in doors faced with metal, forever preserved in glossy epoxy resin, like your finest bottle of scotch deserves. Inside, you’ll find a fully fitted interior complete with lighting, a sturdy metal base and hardware, and drawers lined with leather.

Care Instructions

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your WUD pieces, we recommend handling them with care using the following directions, ensuring they remain a cherished part of your collection for years to come

Woods
WUD pieces are stained and/or polished to enhance the natural depth and beauty of each finish. While most surfaces are protected with a clear coat or wax, they remain susceptible to wear over time.

Maintenance:
-Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth.
-For light cleaning, use a slightly damp, soft cloth.
-For deeper cleaning, a mild vinegar and water solution can be applied with a soft cloth.
-Avoid using commercial, acidic, or abrasive cleaning products on wooden surfaces.

Important Environmental Information:
-Avoid placing hot or moist objects directly on wood surfaces. Rubber or plastic left in contact with the finish may cause damage.
-Be mindful of sharp objects that could scratch the surface.
-Do not place wood pieces near heat sources, air conditioning vents, or direct sunlight
to prevent drying or fading.
-Maintain indoor humidity levels between 35–45% to prevent cracking or warping due to moisture fluctuations.
-Excessive moisture can lead to swelling and distortion of wood components.

Restoration:
-For deeply stained or heavily soiled wood pieces, we recommend professional cleaning or refinishing.

Metals
Most WUD metal components are finished with a live surface unless otherwise specified. These finishes are designed to age and patina naturally over time.

Maintenance:
-Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
-Do not use commercial, acidic, or abrasive cleaners, polishes, or waxes, as these may scratch or damage the finish.

Restoration:
To refresh or restore a polished appearance on both live and non-live finishes, we recommend professional cleaning and polishing.

Metal + Resin
Maintenance:
-Clean surfaces with Windex or a mild countertop cleaner, applied to a soft cloth.
-For minor surface scratches, apply a small amount of mineral oil, gently rub with a soft cloth, then clean the area again with a mild spray and dry cloth.

Important Environmental Information:
-Keep pieces away from heat sources, air conditioning vents, and direct sunlight to avoid fading or drying.
-Maintain consistent humidity (35–45%) to prevent cracking or warping.
-Do not expose wood or resin surfaces to excess moisture or extreme environmental shifts.
-Use coasters or pads to prevent heat or moisture rings.
-Avoid contact with rubber, plastic, or sharp objects which may mar the surface.

Restoration:
-To restore the surface of metal or resin elements, professional cleaning and polishing are recommended.
