Vera was born in Bariloche Argentina in 1979. In 1997 Vera relocated to Spain where she majored in Aesthetic Cinematography at the Valladolid Film Department graduating with a degree in audiovisual communications. Post graduation Vera worked as a director and camerawoman as well as working with the Spanish Film Festival of Málaga working in documentary category of the festival for 8 years.
In 2006 she took up painting under the tutelage of Silvina Gardonio whom she continues to study under. She has also taken part in a contemporary jewelry workshop under Mabel Pena and sculpture under Jardiel Valente.
Vera continues to work as a photographer as well as teaching photography, drawing and painting. Additionally Vera also creates hand made weavings in her studio which are embroidered, spun and dyed with native plants using a variety of materials including Patagonian Sheep Wool which can be used as throws, rugs or wall hangings. Vera’s work has been seen in individual and collective expositions in a variety of museums and galleries in Argentina, Spain, Morocco, New York and China.
Vera’s textile work has won the First Price of the FNA [National Foundation of Arts] in Argentina 2017.
